Absentee Voting

All registered voters are eligible to vote absentee in Michigan. Learn more and request an Absentee Ballot Application at the Michigan’s Secretary of State website.

Permanent Absentee Voting

Qualified registered voters who wish to be placed on the permanent absentee list can complete the Permanent Absent Voter form on our website. After completing the form, an application will be mailed to those voters on the permanent list prior to every election. The application must be completed and submitted to the City Clerk before a ballot may be mailed.

Returning Your Absentee Ballot Application

To return your Absentee Ballot Application in person, place it in the drop box at one of the following locations:

  • Clerk’s office hallway, open during business hours.
  • Jefferson Street and Muskegon Avenue (across from U.S. 31 BBQ).
  • Walton St lobby entrance, open 24/7.
