New Business

Some forms that were received since the last meeting were disseminated.

Vice-Chair Carlos Florez handed out copies of a concern from a resident stemming from
an August 4 incident. He stated that he did explain how the formal complaint process
goes should this person wish to follow that route but in the meantime he did present the
board with copies of the letter he had received. Mr. Powers stated he would share this
with the Director of Public Safety and Captain Lord who is currently the internal affairs
investigator.

Quintin Cooley started a discussion on what seems to be happening nation-wide
concerning police and their interaction with the public. There was a short discussion on
this.

Public Participation

None.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:53 p.m.

The next meeting is November 3, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in room 103 of Muskegon City
