Citizen’s District Council Meeting
City of Muskegon CDBG
Conference Room 103
Muskegon, Michigan
March 3, 2020

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Kim Burr at 5:31 pm.

ROLL CALL:
Roll call was taken by Samantha Pulos-Porter, and a quorum was present.

         ✓ Samantha Pulos-Porter

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A motion to approve the minutes from February 4, 2020 was made by Jeremy Lenertz; Veania
Coleman seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS:
The 2020 Action Plan was discussed. LeighAnn presented past years CDBG activities for the
group to review. Some were represented in bold, indicated they had fixed amounts each year.
General discussion was had about what different category were used for and if there were
remaining funds.
NEW BUSINESS:
The CDC has one new member, Bonnie Lipan. She has an MBA, served as a Project Manager
for years, taught at MCC, and now is an office manger for Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

A motion was made by Veania Coleman and seconded by Samantha Ferguson, to nominate
Jeremey Lenertz for the position of Vice Chair. It passed unanimously.

New ideas were discussed for possible CDBG activities: bike path, small youth rec grants,
summer interns, economic development, annual park improvements, and neighborhood cleanups.

ADJOURN:
Veania motioned to adjourn the meeting, Samantha F. seconded the motion, which passed
unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 6:47 pm.

NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting date is: April 21, 2020.
