Regular Meeting Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner David Wendtland at 4:05PM.
Also present: Commissioner Kevin Huss, Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service Director,
Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee Relations Director, and Lisa Vanderlaan,
Departmental Clerk.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Huss and seconded by Commissioner
Wendtland to approve the regular minutes of the November 20, 2017
meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Commissioner Wendtland stated that he would like to bring an amended version
of the alternative to the Civil Service Rules letter to City Manager Frank Peterson
for this approval.
Motion was made by Commissioner Huss and seconded by Commissioner
Wendtland to amend the alternative to the Civil Service Rules letter.
Amendments being that employees pursue the grievance avenues prior
to appealing to the Civil Service Commission.
Motion Carried.
