Regular Meeting Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Johnny Brown at 8:32AM.
Also present: Commissioner Lawrence Spataro, Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service
Director, Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee Relations Director, and Lisa
Vanderlaan, Departmental Clerk.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by
Commissioner Brown to approve the regular minutes of the January 22,
2019 meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Approve the Charter Amendment. Civil Service Director, Kristen N. Wade
explained that City Attorney, John Schrier, drafted a Charter Amendment
whereby departments would receive the names of all applicants meeting the
minimum qualifications, replacing the current Rule of 1 and Rule of 3.
Motion was made by Commissioner Brown and seconded by
Commissioner Spataro to approve the Charter Amendment.
Motion Carried.
