Regular Meeting Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner David Wendtland at 4:01PM.
Also present: Commissioner Lawrence Spataro, Commissioner Johnny Brown,
Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service Director, Leo Evans, Director of Public Works,
Dennis Lord, City of Muskegon Police Captain, Dwana Thompson, EEO &
Employee Relations Director and Lisa Vanderlaan, Departmental Clerk.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by
Commissioner Brown to approve the regular minutes of the August 12,
2019 meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Approve the following job description: Police Community Coordinator and
Assistant City Engineer.
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by
Commissioner Brown to approve the Police Community Coordinator job
description.
Motion Carried.
Motion was made by Commissioner Brown and seconded by
Commissioner Spataro to approve the Assistant City Engineer job
description.
Motion Carried.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
Commissioner Wendtland asked Civil Service Director, Kristen Wade about
notifying the Department Heads about the Civil Service meetings; she stated
that she has passed that information onto the City Manager.
