Regular Meeting Minutes

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner David Wendtland at 4:00PM.
Also present: Commissioner Lawrence Spataro, Commissioner Johnny Brown,
Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service Director, Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee
Relations Director and Lisa Vanderlaan, Departmental Clerk.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by
Commissioner Brown to approve the regular minutes of the April 15,
2020 meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Approve the Drug and Alcohol Use Policy.
Motion was made by Commissioner Wendtland and seconded by
Commissioner Brown to approve the Drug and Alcohol Use Policy
Discussion ensued regarding amending the drug policy to add marijuana
where there is mention about alcohol and illegal drugs. After discussion
Commissioners left the policy as presented. Dwana Thompson indicated that
this policy wasn’t change substantially from the existing policy but simply
brought it up to date with minor changes.
Motion Carried.
