Regular Meeting Minutes
Monday, December 14, 2020

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner David Wendtland at 4:06PM.
Also present: Commissioner Johnny Brown, Kristen N. Wade, Civil Service
Director, Frank Peterson, City Manager, Michael Franzak, Planner III, Leigh Ann
Mikesell, Director of Planning and CNS, Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee
Relations Director, and Lisa Vanderlaan, Departmental Clerk.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Brown and seconded by
Commissioner Wendtland to approve the regular meeting minutes of
the November 9, 2020 meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Approve the following job description: Planner I.
Motion was made by Commissioner Brown and seconded by
Commissioner Wendtland to approve the Planner I job description as
presented.
Motion Carried.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
V. OTHER BUSINESS
Commissioners acknowledged that they received the internal policy document
for Staff Procedures for Covid-19 Diagnosis and Exposure
VI. PUBLIC COMMENT
Mike Hewartson, President of the Muskegon Firefighters Union, asked to
discuss the Muskegon Firefighter Letter to the Civil Service Commissioners.
Commissioner Wendtland advised that this item would go on the January agenda.
