Regular Meeting Minutes
Monday, December 13, 2021
4:00 P.M.

I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Commissioner David Wentland at 4:00PM.
Present: Commissioner Larry Spataro, Commissioner Johnny Brown, Kristen N.
Wade, Civil Service Director, LeighAnn Mikesell, Deputy City Manager, Jake
Laime, Interim Arena Director, Dwana Thompson, EEO & Employee Relations
Director and Christine Evans, Human Resources Specialist.
II. MINUTES
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by Commissioner
Brown to approve the regular meeting minutes of the November 8, 2021 meeting.
Motion Carried.
III. ACTION AGENDA
A. Interim Arena Director
Motion was made by Commissioner Brown and seconded by Commissioner
Spataro to approve the Interim Arena Director position.
B. Reclassify the Financial Analyst position from Range I to Range H in
the non-union compensation schedule
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by Commissioner
Brown to reclassify the Financial Analyst position from Range I to Range H in
the non-union compensation schedule. Commissioner Wentland asked if the
Civil Service Commission normally approve reclassifications and discussion
ensued.
Motion Carried.
C. Approve the following job descriptions: Arena Finance / Box Office
Manager
Motion was made by Commissioner Spataro and seconded by Commissioner
Brown to approve the Arena Finance / Box Office Manager job description.
Discussion ensued.
Motion Carried.
IV. INFORMATION ITEMS
V. OLD BUSINESS
Let the record reflect that Civil Service Director Kristen Wade, pursuant to the
October 11, 2021 Civil Service Commission meeting discussion, confirmed via e-
mail to the Commissioners on October 14, 2021, that the Arena Maintenance
Worker met the required qualifications of the job.
