This is an open house format and no formal presentation will be provided. \nWho should attend? – Community stakeholders\, local businesses\, interested residents\, and City of Muskegon staff. \nWhen is the meeting? – Tuesday\, January 13\, 2026\, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. \nWhere is the meeting? – City of Muskegon\, City Hall lobby: 933 Terrace St.\, Muskegon\, MI 49440. \nWhat is the project? – Bridge removal project. Built between 1926 and 1932\, this bridge is a good example of a concrete-encased\, multi-beam steel stringer bridge with a high level of historic integrity and is therefore eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic places. \nWhy is public comment so important? – MDOT and the City of Muskegon are seeking public feedback to help recognize and address any concerns that may result from the removal of this National Register of Historic places eligible bridge and the minor\, or de minimis\, use of the Richards Charter Park.
