November 29, 2022

MUSKEGON, MI – With the City of Muskegon launching the Holiday Season last Saturday with the community Christmas Tree lighting in Hackley Park, all attention now is on Saturday’s 19th annual Holidays in Lakeside.

Holidays in Lakeside is a family-gathering event Saturday Dec. 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Created and produced by the business-led Lakeside District Association, the traditional Christmas celebration includes carriage rides, visits with Santa and food and beverages from Lakeside establishments The Marine Tap Room, Wonderland Distillery and the Lake Bluff Grille.

Lakeside is an historic commercial district in the City of Muskegon along Lakeshore Drive on the southside of Muskegon Lake between Downtown Muskegon and Pere Marquette Beach. It is a business district tied to the city’s Lakeside Neighborhood but strategically located between rapid developments in downtown and near the Lake Michigan shore.

The Holidays in Lakeside’s free carriage rides are 11 a.m.-3 p.m. from the parking lot across from Ghezzi’s Market and at the same time Santa will greet children in the alcove porch at Lakeshore and Mann.

The Lakeside Neighborhood Association will have a Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. in the Lakeside Pocket Park just east of Ghezzi’s Market. Letters to Santa can be left in his mailbox at the Pocket Park. Signups for a Lakeside Raffle are available at Wasserman’s Flowers, Art Cats Gallery and Bellasimi Boutique.

Holidays in Lakeside is made possible through the support of the Lakeside Business Improvement District, Lakeside Neighborhood Association, Vikings Linne Lodge 57, Great Lakes Dock and Materials, Marine Tap Room, Wasserman’s Flowers, Ghezzi’s Market, Art Cats Gallery, ExperienceMuskegon.com, Muskegon Country Club, Lake Bluff Grille and Lakeshore Federal Credit Union.
