RE: City of Muskegon – Street and Utility Improvements – Amity Avenue: Getty to Fork
Dear Property Owner(s):
Beginning April 2021, construction will be taking place on Amity Avenue, between Getty and Fork Street, and one block on Fork Street between Amity Avenue and Murphy Avenue. The City will also be replacing only the sanitary sewer for one block on Myrtle Avenue between Fork Street and Murphy Street and on Murphy Street from Myrtle Avenue to Walton Street.
This project will consist of replacement of both the sanitary sewer and watermain pipes in the roadway and reconstruction of the roadway. The project also replaces the sanitary service to the property line and the water service to the house. As part of the water service replacement, the contractor will need access into your house to make the final connection. The City has contracted with Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc., from Grand Rapids, to complete this project. Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering (F&V) of Muskegon will be providing engineering and construction observation for the City during the project.
