The Muskegon Police Department offers a one-day Citizen’s Public Safety Workshop. This program is hands-on and intended to provide citizens 18 years of age and older with a better understanding of the functions of law enforcement and the importance of public safety. It also aims to dispel misconceptions and increase positive communication between citizens and police. Topics include use of force, de-escalation tactics, mental health awareness, drone unit, traffic stops and fire extinguishing.
The next workshop will be in Fall 2026.
