Officer Nathan Ruiter

My name is Nathan Ruiter, and I have served as a police officer with the City of Muskegon Police Department since 2022. I am currently assigned to the Crime Activity Team, where I focus on proactive enforcement, increasing police visibility, and addressing criminal activity to enhance public safety and quality of life within the community.

I previously served on road patrol, where I also functioned as a Field Training Officer, responsible for mentoring and evaluating new officers. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University and subsequently completed the Grand Valley State University Police Academy.

I am dedicated to professional excellence, accountability, and the enforcement of the law while maintaining strong relationships with the community I serve.

Officer Tyler Pearce

My name is Tyler Pearce and I have been a police officer with the City of Muskegon Police Department since 2023. Prior to my employment with the City of Muskegon, I served five years of active duty with the United States Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer. I am currently assigned to the Crime Activity and Traffic Team, which provides me with the opportunity to continue serving our community by proactively reducing crime and addressing community concerns. I look forward to building relationships with the community and working together to make our city a safer place.
