The Parking Enforcement Unit of the Muskegon Police Department enforces all parking ordinances. The Parking Enforcement Unit is led by a Parking Manager and two Parking Enforcement Officers. Enforcement of parking ordinances includes front/side yard parking, terrace parking, sidewalk parking, 48-hour parking, beach parking, winter parking, and handicap parking. The unit also handles abandoned vehicles, private impounds, and police impounds.
