Application for Slip Rental

Home City Services Public Works Launch Ramps and Marina Application for Slip Rental

A $300 deposit is due upon submission of this application, if you are assigned to a slip; waitlist applications do not require a $300 deposit.

All customers for any application type MUST provide valid proof of insurance.

There is a 3% service fee for using a credit card for payment.

This deposit may be made by contacting Hartshorn Marina with payment information.

All balances must be paid in full by April 1st of the year for which the application is made

Definitions, Information and Specifications for Hartshorn Application

Returning customers may be given priority for slip assignments, which are not finalized until spring. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reassign as necessary. The Length Over-All policy (LOA), or the total length of any vessel from pulpit to platform, is strictly enforced when considering slip assignment. Any vessel that the Harbor Master determines cannot be moored within the length of the slip will be reassigned to a larger slip at an additional charge.
LOA shall include, but not be limited to
- Out-board motors, rudder, swim platform, bow railing, bowsprit and pulpit, lights, dinghies, davits.
Large Boat Basin
- Slips applicable to boats up to 27’ LOA, discounted price applies to slips 1 and 65 ONLY
- Slips applicable to boats up to 35’ LOA, both fixed and floating docks
- Slips applicable to boats up to 45’ LOA, limited availability
- Slips applicable to boats up to 65’ LOA, limited availability
- Water and electric hook ups for boat included
- Dock box not guaranteed
Mooring Field
- All Mooring balls applicable to sailboats up to 60’ LOA
- Customer must provide lines and tackle for securing boat to ball
- Seasonal dinghy storage included
Waitlist
- Waitlist customers will be contacted in order of application date as openings arise
- Waitlist applications should be re-submitted each year
