Current 2026 Road & Utility Construction Projects
The Department of Public Works (DPW) has several major road, utility, and park projects planned for the 2026 construction season.
Join us on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 4–6 PM for the Annual Road + Utility Project Open House at DPW. This is a great opportunity to review project plans and ask questions about the upcoming work.
This year’s open house will also include park projects. There will be no formal presentation. This is a drop-in, ask-questions-and-go style event. Several staff members and contractors will be available to talk through projects and answer questions at your pace.

During the 2024 Construction Season, in the Bluffton Area – Wilcox and Thompson were reconstructed. The slideshow below has photos from the project to give you an idea of what to expect this summer. The Wilcox and Thompson projects included sanitary sewer and water mains being replaced. The work included various storm sewer improvements, fully rebuilding the asphalt road, and some sidewalk improvements. The project involved replacing various water services from the water main into the home or building throughout the project area.
