EGLE Public Comment Period Open for Muskegon Infrastructure Projects

April 22, 2026

The City of Muskegon is moving forward with important water and sewer infrastructure improvements, including sanitary sewer replacement in the Glenside neighborhood and water main and lead service line replacement projects across the city.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has completed its environmental review of these projects. EGLE determined that the projects will not have a significant impact on the environment or public health.

A public comment period is now open and ends May 21, 2026.

During this time, community members, organizations, and other interested parties are invited to review the project information and submit comments to EGLE. All feedback received during this period will be considered before the projects are finalized.

Project documents and additional details are available on EGLE’s Environmental Project Reviews webpage.
