Light Up the Lakeshore – County Wide Light Competition

The City of Muskegon Parks & Recreation team is hosting a county-wide holiday lights competition to celebrate holiday spirit and community creativity.
Transform your yard or home exterior into a dazzling holiday display for your chance to win:
🎁 A $1,000 Barry’s Greenhouse

🏡 A celebratory yard sign
💻 A featured spotlight on the City of Muskegon’s website
The winner will be decided by public vote through the form on this page. Voters can explore participating displays on our interactive map and choose their favorite! Participants are encouraged to share the voting link to rally support for their creations.
Contest Rules
Open to residential homes within Muskegon County only.
Participants must register by submitting the online form by Monday, December 1, 2025 (11:59 PM).
Decorations must be visible from the roadway.
Displays must be lit nightly from December 5–15, 2025, between 6:00–10:00 PM for judging.
The winner will be announced Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Public Voting
Voting is open to everyone from Friday, December 5 through Monday, December 15, 2025.
The winner will be announced Thursday, December 18, 2025.
