Please note that for the winter season, restrooms are closed at all parks. You can find portable vault toilets at McGraft, Margaret Drake Elliot, Harbour Towne Beach, Smith-Ryerson, Beachwood, and Pere Marquette Parks.
The City of Muskegon Parks & Recreation Department has several opportunities ready for you this winter. Add these locations to your winter bucket list to get out and about.
- McGraft Park and Beachwood Park both offer moderate to advanced sledding hills.
- Margaret Drake Elliot offers one-of-a-kind views while walking, running, or just out enjoying winter views.
- Harbour Towne Beach offers some of the best ice fishing in all of Muskegon County.
- We’re crossing our fingers, that the Beachwood/Bluffton Neighborhood Association will facilitate its annual outdoor skating rink at Beachwood Park, weather willing!
- For the second season in a row, the Hackley Public Library will host year-long Story Walk Storyboards at Smith-Ryerson. Please come with your family, read a story, and get out to enjoy a plowed story walk.
- Kruse Park gates are closed, but the park is still accessible via foot traffic. Remember to pick up after your furry friends (no toilet available here).
