PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

A public meeting will be held concerning the remaining two smokestack asbestos abatement and demolition at the former Sappi site at 2400 Lakeshore Dr.  Presentations on the procedures for asbestos abatement and demolition will be given. An update on the environmental conditions, including concerns regarding dust control, will also be provided, followed by a question and answer session.  Representatives of Pure Muskegon, the City, Melching Inc., and their consultants/contractors will be in attendance.

The hearing will be held in at the City of Muskegon Commission Chambers, 933 Terrace Street, on Thursday, May 18 at 5:30 PM.
