Public Notice City of Muskegon Procurement Of Contractors

The programs for which these contractors would provide services include, but are not limited to, Community Development Block Grant and the HOME Partnership Program. We are looking for local contractors in the areas of: appraisal; asbestos assessment and abatement; building contractor; cleaning companies; concrete; demolition; electrical; flooring; foundations; building specification writing; insulation; property maintenance (leaf removal, mowing, trash removal, snow removal); lead risk assessment/clearance; mechanical (heating and cooling); plumbing; septic/sewer; structural engineer/surveyor; and tree services. All Muskegon County licensed contractors are encouraged to bid.

We are also seeking bid proposals from local realty, home inspection companies, and title service companies for the purpose of listing and selling affordable housing constructed or rehabilitated with funding from HUD through the HOME Investment Partnership Program.

Bid packages will be available Tuesday, December 15, 2015 starting at 12:00 noon at Muskegon City Hall, Community and Neighborhood Services office, 933 Terrace Street, Room 201, Muskegon, MI. through Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Completed bid packages are due in the Clerk’s Office at Muskegon City Hall on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, by 2 p.m. This will be a sealed bid. The outside of the envelope should include the contractor’s business name, contractor’s name, address, phone number, and trade type. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The City of Muskegon reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

Bidding contractors must show proof of the appropriate licenses, liability insurance, Worker’s Compensation and certifications for their line of work, as needed.
