Splash Pad Summer Opening

The City of Muskegon is delighted to announce that the downtown Muskegon Splash Pad is now open to the public for the summer season. The Parks & Recreation team has worked diligently to ensure the splash pad’s availability for Summer 2024.
In 2023, the Parks & Recreation team applied for state grants to repair and reconstruct the splash pad. Their efforts were rewarded with a highly competitive $250,000 SPARK Grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. The city’s application was one of 462 selected for funding.
The reconstruction of the splash pad is planned for Fall 2024, promising a refreshed facility with new spray patterns for residents and visitors to enjoy. The upcoming reconstruction will ensure the splash pad remains a cherished feature of the community for many years to come.
The splash pad will remain open until after Labor Day, offering a fun and refreshing destination throughout the summer.
