November 1, 2023

UPDATE: Trick-Or-Treat in the City of Muskegon is postponed until Saturday, November 4th from 6-8 PM because of the ongoing work to restore power and clean up downed trees and wires.

Many folks in the City of Muskegon and throughout Muskegon County remain without power today. Consumers Energy has about 200 crews working to restore power in Muskegon, Ottawa and Kent Counties. 43,000 folks are without power between the three counties, with the majority here in Muskegon County. You can utilize the Consumers Outage Map linked below for updates.

The City of Muskegon Department of Public Works (DPW) has received hundreds of tree requests and they are working to clean up all impacted areas. DPW continues to coordinate with Consumers Energy on downed power lines to make clean up efforts more efficient.

Many thanks to our forestry, police, fire and plow crews for working around the clock and on double shifts to help keep residents safe.
