2026 Launch Ramp Passes Now Available

February 11, 2026

Residents and visitors can now purchase 2026 launch ramp passes at City Hall and the Department of Public Works.

These passes are valid through April 2027 and provide access to all four city-owned launch ramps on Muskegon Lake:

  • Fisherman’s Landing – 501 E. Western Ave.
Featuring four launch ramps, two restrooms, a shower facility, playground, picnic shelter, and fish cleaning station, Fisherman’s Landing offers a wide range of amenities. Visit the Fisherman’s Landing webpage for more information.
  • Hartshorn Launch Ramp – 1050 W. Western Ave.
  • Grand Trunk Launch Ramp – 2090 Lakeshore Dr.
This 4.6-acre site includes two launch ramps and picnic tables.
  • Jaycees Launch Ramp (Cottage Grove) – 2912 Lakeshore Dr.
The closest launch ramp to Lake Michigan from Muskegon Lake.

Planning to go ice fishing? A valid launch ramp pass is required when parking at a city launch ramp. Out of convenience both 2025 and 2026 passes will be accepted at this time. Please note that  Heritage Landing also provides access to Muskegon Lake and does not require a parking pass.
