Help Select a New Playground at McGraft Park

April 2, 2026

The City of Muskegon Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the community to help select a new playground for McGraft Park.

The city was recently awarded a matching grant from GameTime, a playground manufacturer, which provides 50% off a new playground structure. The grant applies to the main structure only and does not cover items such as swings, surfacing, or other site-related costs.

To help guide the final decision, the community will be asked to review playground options that reflect what can realistically be built within the project budget of approximately $162,000. The options shared with the public will show different combinations of playground features, accessibility elements, and color schemes.

Public Engagement Opportunities

The city will host an in-person community input event at McGraft Park and will be attending the McGraft Park Easter Egg Hunt so community members (young and old) can review the playground options and share feedback.

For those who cannot attend in person, an online survey is available here through April 10th.
