Public Safety News: Car vs Pedestrian Crash

On March 11, at approximately 7:30 a.m., two Muskegon High School students were
crossing Sanford Street at Grand Avenue on their way to school when they were struck by a
pickup truck traveling south on Sanford Street.

The truck was driven by a 36-year-old Muskegon man.

The students involved were a 15-year-old male who sustained an arm injury and a 17-year-old
female who sustained a leg injury. Both were treated by Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital and
are expected to make a full recovery.

The crash remains under investigation by the Muskegon Police Department. Any potential
criminal charges will be determined pending the completion of the investigation.
